Hello. If you're reading this, you are no doubt aware of the issues right now facing the internet.
Presently there are an entire list of bills that have passed committee here in the United States, all of which could be disastrous, but none so seriously appalling and repugnant as repealing Section 230.

🠶 Multiple bills are being pushed at the moment. I have not been able to make an exhaustive list but some are so terrible that it would create a full-on, baked-in panopticon state.

🠶 HR 8250 proposes tying IDs to devices, then letting the government link them with NSPM-7 "domestic terrorist" lists and would trigger device lockouts upon detecting "unacceptable" speech.
🠶 New law was signed recently that mandates in-car surveillance ('driver monitoring') for new models starting next year.
